FORMATIVE AREA Formative Plan

Sotavento Experimental Wind Farm´s educational and informative project starts from the need to inform about an unknown field and, at the same time, so close to society; that is, renewable energies. Because of the peculiarity of the project, it was necessary the creation of its own Formative Plan whose main objectives are:

• Serving as support to the educational task carried out by the teachers at schools. This is the reason why it tries to have a direct link between the didactic objectives of the Farm, and certain areas that stablish the educational laws for the different levels of education.
• Being a centre of information-formation for all segments of population that are interested in the field of renewable energies.
• Making possible that the visitors could acquire experiences and knowings enough to obtain a critic comprehension of the main environmental problems generated by the human intervention on the environment. Sotavento Educational Plan tries to make easier this comprehension, bringing a way of example of the actual technological and energetic reality to the visitor.
• Characterizing the activities by playful-formative aspects with the end of motivating and predisposing to learning, especially younger visitors.
